1. Brief Curriculum Vitae

Dr Jingping Hu is a professor of environmental engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and is chairing FunMat Laboratory. His research largely focuses on advanced oxidation process (AOP) for wastewater treatment, electrochemical sensing for environmental monitoring, resource recovery of solid waste as environmental functional materials. He has been published more 60 papers in several leading international journals, including Adv. Mat., Angew Chem, Anal. Chem.

He was awarded the prestigious Newton Abraham studentship at Lincoln College and received his D.Phil from the University of Oxford (2004-2008). After graduation he was awarded as Sir William Ramsay Research Fellowship (https://www.soci.org/awards/past-recipients/ramsay-memorial-fellowship) at the University of Oxford. In late 2013, Dr Hu was awarded the prestigious Chinese “Young Thousand Talents Programme (http://1000plan.org/)“, and joined the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (http://ese.hust.edu.cn/info/1213/1659.htm) in Wuhan China in January 2014.

He also serves as the vice-president of the Chinese Society of Chemical Science and Technology in the UK (CSCST-UK (http://www.cscst.org)), the co-founder to initiate Oxford Forum of Science and Technology (OXFOST). He serves as associate editor for "Energy & Environmental Materials", member of editorial board for Journal “Advances in Chemistry” and “Journal of Water and Environmental Nanotechnology”. He also serves as a regular reviewer for: Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, Physica Status Solidi (c), Analytica Chimica Acta, Electrochimica Acta, International Journal of Nano Manufacturing (IJNM), Materials for Renewable and Sustainable Energy (MRSE), Waste and Biomass Valorization, Waste Management, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, International Journal of Energy Research, Applied Surface Science, Journal of Energy Storage, Biotechnology for Biofuels, Chemical Communications, Chemical Engineering Journal,HUANJING GONGCHENG XUEBAO, etc. He is also a member of International Water Association (IWA), member of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and member of Materials Research Society (MRS).

1.中文简介

2008 年博士毕业于英国牛津大学化学系物理化学专业,博士毕业后先后在英国诺 丁汉大学和牛津大学从事博士后研究工作,2011年当选牛津大学拉姆齐研究员(Ramsay Fellow)。先后荣获复旦大学徐增寿奖学金、牛津大学牛顿-亚伯拉罕(Newton Abraham)全额奖学金、英国拉姆齐基金会Ramsay Fellowship (https://www.soci.org/awards/past-recipients/ramsay-memorial-fellowship)研究员。 近年来先后主持和参与由英国The Ramsay Memorial Fellowships Trust、中国科技部、国家自然科学基金委员会、湖北省科技厅资助的多项科研项目,在Adv. Mat.、Angew. Chem.、Anal. Chem.等期刊发表论文60余篇,其中第一作者及通讯作者20余篇、申请中国和国际专利多项。2013年入选中组部第十批“千人计划(青年项目)”,任华中科技大学环境 科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师。
